Well, our nephew Braxton is one year old! His birthday was last Thursday, his party last Friday, and he and his entire family--Brian, Brooke & Ainsley--were in town for more than a week. It was a blast hanging out with them! We showed them all around Fort Worth, including a trip to our zoo. They worshipped with our church, we celebrated Valentine's with Gregg, Wes, Willie & their wives, Brian & I went to a Mavs game, we played some two-on-two basketball with WIllie & Gregg, we let Brian & Willie's kids play together, read Bible stories to Ainsley, and Jess and I got to see a lot of old friends at Braxton's party.

What a blessing it was to get to spend so much time with Brian & Brooke while getting to love all over Ainsley and Braxton! Man we love these kids!!

More than 11 million votes. Wow! Not sure what these results truly reflect about our culture, but, at least on the surface it appears better than the alternative. However, one must wonder whether or not a nation that treats the economy (money) and everything related (bailouts, stimulus plans, recession, rise & fall of stock market) as priority one, actually views any aspect of "our" money as related to God and His will. To me, it seems ironic to print "In God we trust" on the thing we trust more than God.
