There comes a time in your life when everyone around you is graduating college. Then, a blink later, everyone around you, all of your closest friends, are getting married. A little time passes before things really start to change when all of your married friends start having babies. Jess and I have experienced all of these seasons. Currently, we're in the middle of another baby surge.

Before I launch into those on the brink, I must first mention and congratulate two families, close friends of ours, that just had babies. Joe and Megan Brewster had their second baby and first son this summer, just in time to head back to the Xtreme Team in Peru. Another Xtreme Team alumni, my former partner in the Gospel, Chris Cox, is having his first baby with his wife, Kristin, this week. I lived with Chris in the jungles for two years, so I can't wait to meet this baby and tell her stories about her daddy in the wild. Congrats to the Cox and Brewster families!

Ok, now we move on to the others.

First there's Nicole, Jess' sister. Nicole and her husband Joey are set to have their first baby, a baby boy, on Joey's birthday this December 16th. This will be our first nephew.

My brother, Brian, and his wife Brooke, are about to add another baby to their family this coming February, giving Ainsley a little brother or sister.

One of our best friends, Willie and Emily, are pregnant again with their second, due in March. It seems like it was just last Sunday that we were celebrating the first birthday of their first baby girl, Eva. Oh yeah, it was just last Sunday.

Finally, Jeremy and Susan Taliaferro, my strategy coordinators from the Xtreme Team in Peru, just found out that they are pregnant with their first baby. I can't wait to see that kid running around the jungle out there.

It's an incredibly exciting time to have all of these miracles on the horizon. I'm sure that some day, Jess and I will join the club...not just yet though.

Well, Jess and I had an incredible summer. We went to the Bahamas, Mexico, Six Flags, and Nebraska. We were in weddings, the ocean and lakes. We even celebrated our One-Year Anniversary! While I got to work often on my book, Jess found time to read about 15 books...including mine.

It was a blessed, adventurous, fun and relaxing summer.

As of yesterday, though, we are both back in school. Jessica will be teaching classes for 6th-10th graders again, while also coaching JV Volleyball and Varsity Basketball. I'm back at seminary for another semester, taking New Testament Greek I, New Testament II, Biblical Hermeneutics, and Christian Home. Should be a busy and exciting semester!

My brother and Brooke moved back to Florida in order to plant a church with another family there. Brian is serving as the worship leader. They've got a great website that they update frequently with prayer requests, pictures, and new blogs. Check it out and see if you may want to be a part of this new church by praying for them and their ministry.

This past weekend, one of my best friends, Clint Kirby, got married. For the grand occasion, our whole family (Jess, my parents, Brian, Brooke, Ainsley, and myself) drove in a big van all the way up to Lincoln, Nebraska. (see pictures here).

It was an incredible week as we got to jet ski, swing dance, play frisbee, stay at a nice hotel, eat some great food, play golf, and do it all with friends and family that we had not seen in quite some time. What a blessing to have everyone together! It was also great to see Clint say his "I Do's" and marry Missy. They had a beautiful wedding that included Clint playing a song on his guitar that he sang to Missy. The reception that followed was a blast of a party.

It's clear to everyone that Clint & MIssy are going to enjoy an amazing marriage with one another for their entire lives. Congratulations Clint & Missy!
