Riddle: What has 15 kids, 2 vans and enough bottle water to flood Noah's ark?
Answer: A Youth Mission Trip.

For a year and a half now, I have been serving at Trinity Baptist Church as a youth minister. For more than seven years, I have had a calling on my life to live as a missionary wherever the Father has me. I guess when these two meet, it's only natural that I would opt for a mission trip rather than a youth camp. We leave on Monday, and most of the students going have never left the country or been on a mission trip. Furthermore, we're going to Morelos, Mexico, the city that I have been on mission trips to various times, including a four-month stretch after graduating from college, during which, I served with one of my best friends, Willie Butler. Suffice it to say, I'm greatly looking forward to seeing old friends, worshiping with the church there again, serving the same orphanage from years ago, and watching the Lord use and change the youth from our church here.

We will get back on Saturday, June 30, and I will post another blog and pictures from the trip as soon as possible.

While on Vacation in the Bahamas, I was reminded of how much I truly enjoy traveling. I began to reflect on why I love it so much and found that there are several motivations behind my traveling desires. Rather than blog about such now, I'd be interested in hearing from you.
